Cost Centre
What does it do?
Labour cost constitutes a high proportion of a company's operating cost. As such, companies should have an approach for better visibility of the distribution of labour costs.
The Cost Centre module does just that with features such as cost centre auto-mapping and pro-ration to handle the cost of employees who move among various cost centres. Everything is automated so that even when one cost centre timesheet is entered into another, the system will pro-rate the information seamlessly.
The Cost Centre module is easy-to-use yet effective as it allows specific cost and accrural items such as bonus and incentive within a cost centre to be defined. The accrual item is formula-based thus allowing HR personnel to set their own accrual method and length of accrual period. Above all, the Cost Centre module integrates with Sage ACCPAC and other accounting software solutions.
What are the Benefits?
- Allows all items in the payroll module to be linked, including those from time sheets.
- Allows each item to use different GL codes.
- Allows each item to have different cost components with each component having its own conditional GL code setting.
- Allows items from the payroll, leave and insurance modules to be accrued and configured according to accrual formula or period.
- All data can be easily exported to Excel (via Export Designer) or posted to Sage ACCPAC.
- Automatically pro-rates cost for employees working in multiple cost centres or those who have changed their job positions.
- Performs cost averaging to present a correct final figure.
