With automatic update feature in latest EPE (10.6 and 8.6), should the option 'auto updates' be ticked in Client PC eventhough database resides on a separate server machine?

 

If you leave the default setting as Download Update Automatically (go-to Core > Help), for future update, you only need to update patches as client machine. System will enable this auto update as long as it can connect to ODBC (Data Source). You do not need to update at the server. 

If you choose not to auto-update any new software/patches, you may manually go-to Core > Help and click on Check For Update.
